Your Smartphone May Not Be A Smart Thing To Play With Before Bed

smartphone insomnia

Sleep deprivation is a growing concern for many people, especially in today’s day and age. The constant consumption of social media, and over usage of apps has resulted in many people finding it hard to fall asleep at night.

Insomnia is a serious problem that a lot of people face everyday. It can be very stressful on your body, and even cause some emotional discomfort. Have you ever noticed how angry someone can be without the proper amount of sleep? Incase you haven’t, go bother someone who you know may have only gotten a couple hours the night before. I guarantee the results won’t be shocking.

Take it down a notch

The problem is that many people, predominantly young people, spend the first hour or so of “bedtime” wandering through the Internet. There is just too much to take in. Page after page you find yourself in a daze of information, or in a daze of stupidity. Regardless this bedtime adventure can result in lack of sleep.

When your body doesn’t get the proper amount of sleep you will feel it in the morning. Whether it’s your attitude, or your inability to function. The results of insomnia are quite devastating. It’s not something you should take lightly.

As for the evergrowing list of insomniacs, the solution could be as simple as putting your phone down and closing your eyes. If people spent less time obsessing over social media, and all the cool things your smart phone can do, you would likely have a wonderful sleep.

If you have experienced insomnia, completely unrelated to your gadgets, I suggest not using your phone at night. Just imagine what can happen if you provoke and already uncomfortable sleeping disorder.

There are different ways to ensure you get a good night sleep. Techniques include the proper ambiance involve having a comfortable bed, or the proper linens. These are just some of the minor steps you can take to make sure everything goes smoothly. But the biggest factor remains your phone; it most likely causes most of the issues you experience.

Try something new

Your smartphone could be causing other problems in your life. Do you ever experience depression or anxiety? If the answer is yes then maybe you should look at your phone as being the route of the problem.

We could go on and on about what the underlining problem could be, but the fact of the matter is your phone may be causing significant damage with regards to your sleeping patterns.

Try something different when you go to sleep tonight. For example place your phone on the desk and try some relaxation techniques. Maybe you could read a book, or sift through a magazine.

The solution to this growing problem is simple for most people. Despite insomnia being a serious sleep disorder many people improperly diagnose themselves. The problem can be solved very easily in most cases, just put your phone down.
