These Indigenous Cultures Were Able to Live Their Entire Lives Without Back Pain

4Back pain has been plaguing Americans for decades and no one has really been able to pinpoint what the real problem is, until now. A study based on findings that included indigenous cultures helped generate a theory based on American diets.

What Did They Find?

Posture and back pain are related to the physical shape Americans are in. Indigenous cultures are known to have better diets that enable them to be in much better physical shape.

Studies show that the normal curvature of the spine is not suppose to be S-shaped, rather it is suppose to be J-shaped. They came across these findings after comparing American spines to that of indigenous cultures.

These native cultures around the world have more so a J-shaped spine because they have better diets and a stronger abdominal core. Since their weight is minimal their stomachs don’t apply the same pressure on their spines, which leads to better posture.

Americans are known to have poor diets, which leads to higher levels of fat near their abdominal muscles.  This higher concentration of fat has lead to Americans having a relatively S-shaped spine. Essentially their diets have caused them to have a spine that is not natural.

What Can They Do About It?

Americans throughout the country must learn to change their diets, in doing so their postures will more than likely improve. If they have less fat near their core their spines will not feel the same pressure. If you look at people who are skinny you will notice that they stand up straighter, this is because they don’t have excess pressure on their spines.

Indigenous cultures have managed to maintain perfect curvatures because they don’t eat the same things as Americans. Over the years we have become accustomed to eating things that are horrible for our health. The fast food and fat concentration within the foods has caused a problem with obesity.

This problem has lead to the creation of many more problems, like posture and back pain.  By improving abdominal strength Americans will experience less back pain and better posture.

The Solution is Simple

Working out, watching your diet and staying in great shape is the only way Americans can reverse the damage they have done to their spines. However, for some it may be too late. Our spines are very sensitive; any problems that have developed over the years will not be easy to reverse. But this doesn’t mean we can’t try. Making sure that your spine does not get worse is the best way to live a healthy, pain free, life.

Recognizing that you have a curve in your spine is the first step in correcting this problem. Consult your doctor if you are unsure how severe your problem may be. Your goal should be to correct the problems your back has endured over the years.

Strengthen those abdominal muscles and you will get rid of the pain you have endured over the years. Whether you start working out or eating better, I recommend both, you will surely feel better. I know that losing excess weight and hitting the gym has relieved pain in my back as well as provided me with more back strength.

Get started today, the future of your health depends on it!
