Sweet potatoes are the perfect superfood. Not only are they packed with vitamin B and minerals like manganese, potassium, and fiber, but they are also an excellent source of beta-carotene.
The key to unlocking those beta-carotene health benefits is by adding a little coconut oil to the root vegetable when cooking, making it easier for the body to absorb.
Luckily, these melt-in-your-mouth sweet potatoes fries are easy as a breeze to whip up. Simply toss in a bowl with a plant-based oil, add your favorite spices and bake.
This recipe will make your sweet potato fries extra garlicky, but feel free to experiment with other spices. For a little more heat, add paprika for a spicy kick! If you’re craving something sweeter, swap out the garlic with bit of nutmeg and cinnamon
The recipe calls for baking the sweet potato fries for 20 minutes, but if you like your fries extra crunchy and crispy you can bake them for an extra 5 to 10 minutes.
These crispy, oven-baked sweet potato fries will put regular ol’ French fries to shame every time. Enjoy!
