Video: Sibling Pups, Who Live 500 Miles Away, Serendipitously Bump Into Each Other at a Park

Chance meetings are thought to be either mere coincidence and luck, or more likely destiny and fate written in the stars. Whichever belief we lean toward, when a chance encounter does happen, our convictions can be shrouded in heightened emotions.

Surprise meetings with objects, people or even information that leads to fortuitous outcomes, are an integral part of everyday life. Would you like to see a cuteness overload moment like this happening to an ever-so- lovable golden-doodle dog?

Dog Park Story Of Coincidence

Golden-doodle dog Dolly (named after Dolly Parton) was recently adopted from Senseney’s Dazzling Doodles in Wheaton, Missouri, so blessings had already started to creep into her life. The adopters Mary Zic and her daughter, Jessica (Dolly’s co-mom) were walking with Dolly in Centennial Park, Nashville recently in December, 2020.

Zic told GNN “We had never taken Dolly to Centennial Park before but needed to pick up food at a nearby restaurant for a friend who’s ill. Jessica suggested we bring Dolly [along].”

They’d only been in the park minutes when Jessica spotted a dog that looked strikingly similar to their precious pup. Though the Zics had yet to connect the dots, the doppelganger doodle was in fact Dolly’s brother, Wally. By chance Wally and owner Becky Birg, made a stop in Nashville on a road trip from Chicago to Florida and decided to stretch their legs at Centennial Park.

As they drew closer, Dolly (who was wearing a scarf with her name on it) was recognized by the other dog’s owner, Becky Birg, from photos she had seen on Instagram from when the two doggos were puppies at Senseney’s Dazzling Doodles.

Some scrappy roughhousing and robust rear-end sniffing between the canines confirmed this was a sweet reunion of brotherly love. The Poodle cross makes for a more intelligent dog, and Dolly and Wally, who both knew a sibling when they saw and scented one, were jubilant!

Mary, Jessica and Becky  took plenty of photos to commemorate the muttley moment, and their captured video and photos went viral on social media. (1)

Puppy Bonds

The flying-fur fun has made the puppies famous and raised many a smile. However perhaps we should take a moment to ponder how we so often separate animals from their parents and siblings to find them all homes; not taking into account that animals too have innate bonds and feelings.

Going to a responsible breeder such as Senseney’s Dazzling Doodles is a responsible act of pet ownership, but some puppies don’t get so lucky, and can be ripped away from their natural mothers prematurely, for profit.

It’s always prudent to research breeders. Fostering or adopting puppies and dogs from local animal shelters is another responsible and caring act, which ensures animals who have had a tough start in life get to experience love. (2)

Curious Minds Wish To Know

Serendipitous encounters don’t just happen to dogs. The Seventeenth Law of the Universe is The Law of Serendipity, which states that by giving us seemingly accidental and unforeseen fortuitous events that we call good luck, the Universe bends in our direction. This law has been converted by modern gurus into the law of attraction.

Studies both by researchers and Social Sciences experts are continual in understanding  regular serendipity to make it possible to promote serendipity effectively in information technology. The mind being noticed and prepared for surprise seems to be catching the attention of science. (3)

Serendipity touches us all at one or more points in our lives and in that moment when we accidentally find something good, we should rejoice and bask in the miracle of chance, just like Dolly the dog. Finding good things without looking for them can truly result in exuberant moments filled with cheer and happiness.
