If you’re bored this quarantine season, you’re not alone. Many of us have been getting a little stir-crazy, due to the social isolation. “Just in case,” says Tammy Howe (@thowe555). I wouldn’t recommend eating them, however. I can’t imagine they taste that good. Wombats Poop In the Shape Of A Cube
“Michael” (@Call_Me_Doyle) also provided a source when asked for verification. We love it when OP delivers! Wombats, the article states, are territorial animals and mark the outsides of their burrows, as well as logs, rocks, and other natural features that will display their stool more prominently. The wombats can also “differentiate between various poos and show avoidance behavior when presented with poo produced by predators and other male wombats.” If that’s not good enough, they can also use the hormones in the stool “so that males can tell when females are most fertile.” But why the cube shape? The flat surfaces of a cube prevent the poop from rolling away from wherever it is deposited. (1, 3)
Slaghoople Is Wilma Flintstone’s Maiden Name
“Kim Brill” (@Kim_Brill) provided this fun fact about the wife of Fred Flintstone, the main character of the animated TV show, The Flintstones. If you’ve turned on Cartoon Network in the last 50 years, you know that Wilma is the redheaded cavewoman, constantly exasperated by her bumbling husband. “brittany packnett cunningham does not do remixes” says that “normally I advocate a woman keeping her maiden name but…” (1)
There Are More Dogs In Denver, Colorado Than Children
“screaming into the void” (@WomanInPants) provided a great article with this fun fact in it. While there are approximately 158,000 dogs, according to Denver’s Parks and Recreation Department, there are only 13 off-leash dog parks for them to roam in. That’s only about 15.5 acres of land. The Parks and Recreation department also released a survey that said 79% of people are actually having to drive their dogs to the dog parks, rather than walk them there. (1, 4)
