Now growing anything takes time so it should be noted that the first thing anyone who takes on this amazing DIY project needs is patients. Gardening of any kind takes time and dedication.  Now that the gardener talk is out of the way, you should know growing a tree is way easier than one might think.

What You Will Need

All you will need to start your very own backyard apple orchard is 1 ripe organic apple, one sharp knife, a sheet of paper towel, water and a plastic bag.

What To Do

1. The first component that you will need to grow your very own apple tree is an organic apple. After you have picked your favorite kind of apple cut it into halves aiming for the middle of the apple, make sure you are extra careful as cut or damaged seeds will not work.  You should have about 4 or more seeds from one apple this should be more than enough.

2. Next you will need some paper towels, paper towels are important for not only cleaning off apple residue from the seeds, they are also necessary for the gamification process. Wrap the seeds in the paper towel and soak the seed filled paper towel all over.

3. Once the paper towel is evenly soaked place wet seed filled paper towel into a plastic bag. Tightly tie off the bag to keep air out. Place the plastic bag in a refrigerator and let it sit for 1 month. Open the bag to re-apply water to the paper towel once every week.

4. You will know the germination process is complete when the seeds begin sprouting tiny white vines. For the next step of the planting process you will need a small pot, compost (store bought or homemade), a small shovel and a watering can.

5. Now the planting process might seem simple, but, it is actual a process that demands attention to detail. The first thing you must do is fill the pot with a mixture of soil and compost next take the small shovel and make a small pocket for the seeds to rest sim to make this pocket about 2-3 inches deep.

6. Next place seeds in the pocket and cover them with soil. Using your watering can give thee seeds a bit of water.

To see the best results from your apple tree try to water regularly in the beginning stages of growth. But, be careful not to over water the seeds as this can ruin the growing process.
