homemade marigold soapSometimes I feel that I tend to focus too much on our holistic diets and the horrifying things unleashed by huge corporations like Monsanto that I forget that the holistic lifestyle also has small pleasures that make life perfect.

Am I right?

I’d like to take this opportunity to give you a recipe to that will either make the perfect homemade gift for one of your friends or will make your next bath a remarkably relaxing occasion.

Your skin is your body’s largest organ and it also serves as the protective membrane that keeps your organs safely housed so they can keep you up and running.

Needless to say, it needs (and deserves) a lot of love.

Can you think of a more pleasantly relaxing feeling than that of a recently pampered and moisturized skin?

There is a multibillion industry out there constantly shoveling soap bars that promise the world to you: be it anti-aging soap compounds, the ultimate hydrating ingredients, and the most exotic mineral and biological essences that will annihilate wrinkles.

However what they don’t want you to know is:

– Most fragrances are just the result of heavy chemical compounds.

– Most soaps are loaded with antibiotics that only contribute to the global antibiotic crisis.

– They’re loaded with triclosan and triclocarban, chemicals that your body can’t filter out.

– These two chemicals are also known carcinogens.

– Most of the chemical ingredients just pollute the environment indefinitely because nothing can break them down.

So please don’t be a victim of the aggressive advertising campaigns that place profit ahead of your overall health, wellbeing, and beauty.

So what’s a girl to do if she just wants the perfect bar of soap or looking for a nice present for her friends?

Don’t worry. I got you covered with this amazing soap recipe.

But before you start, you need to do a little bit of prep work.

Take this opportunity to visit your nearest park and enjoy a stroll. As you’re enjoying the fresh air, keep an eye out for Marigolds. If you don’t see any, visit your local florist.

Once you’ve harvested enough, pluck the petals and place them in a drying screen until they’re dry and papery.

Homemade Marigold Soap Bar Recipe:

Here’s what you’ll need:

– Five tablespoons of dried marigold petals.

– Four tablespoons of coarse organic oatmeal.

– Three tablespoons of raw organic honey.

– One tablespoon of almond oil.

– Ten drops of mandarin oil.

– Eighteen ounces of melt-and-mold soap

Here’s what you’ll need to do:

Having a double boiler makes this easier, if you don’t have one, barely simmer some water and place a heatproof bowl over the pan. Grate the soap into the pan.

As the soap melts, add the marigold, honey, oatmeal, and mandarin oil and mix thoroughly.

Lather the molds (you can use muffin molds) with the almond oil. As the mix cools, pour it into the molds. Let it set for four hours.

Carefully remove the newly formed bars and store them in a cool dry place for about three weeks.

Why Is This Recipe So Good?

Besides helping you remove warts naturally, marigold is an anti-inflammatory agent that helps keep your skin happy and healthy.

Honey, on the other hand, has multiple beauty applications because it is nature’s amazing moisturizer.

Finally, oatmeal can exfoliate your skin with amazing efficiency and no chemical byproducts.
