Top Tips For Blending
Nuts, Seeds, Grains
Nuts, seeds and grains blend the best when they have been soaked for a while, so they can be chopped up into smaller pieces and incorporated better into the drink. However, it isn’t always possible to take the time to soak them. The fastest way to soak nuts is to place them in a glass container and submerge them in boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain the liquid, rinse the nuts and add to smoothie.
Dates
Pit and chop the dates, then cover them with water. Soak for at least 30 minutes, or up to 8 hours. When they’ve soaked enough to suit you liking, add both the dates and the water they sit in and add to the smoothie.
Dried Fruits and Vegetables
When adding small fruits and vegetables to your smoothie, place the food in a glass and fill with water. After 15 minutes or 1 hour, drain the liquid and add to smoothie. This method works for fruits and veggies like raisins, apricots, prunes, cherries, blueberries, goji berries, camu berries, mulberries, and sun dried tomatoes.
