Contrary to what the milk board and advertisers are telling us, dairy doesn’t really do the human body good. Humans are the only species that consumes the milk of another creature, that isn’t found anywhere else in nature.
That is a pretty big clue that we don’t need to be consuming it, but dairy is still a large part of most people’s diet today. Most conventional dairy farms are milking cows that are confined, fed grains, and are being pumped with hormones and antibiotics. This has had adverse effects on our children, who are the biggest consumers of dairy.
This is enough to get most people to start drinking organic milk and avoid these additives. But even though these organic farms are offering a natural product, dairy still has a negative effect on our bodies.
In the interview below, Dr. Michael Klaper passionately explains what happens to the human body after drinking cow’s milk:
Common Knowledge
While milk may be one of the world’s most perfect foods, it doesn’t really help you if you’re not a calf. Here are some of the most recognized reasons why a diet filled with dairy isn’t as healthy as the food industry would want you to believe
Strong Bones
The common belief amongst dairy eaters is that it helps to strengthen your bones. It is even said that consuming dairy reduces your chance of bone fractures. The cold, hard truth is that it may in fact do the opposite. The Nurses’ Health Study reported that it may in fact increase your risk of fracture by at least 50%.
Healthy Bones
There is no real evidence that consuming dairy is what healthy bones are made of. Studies have shown that countries with the lowest dairy consumptions rates like those found in Africa and Asia also have the lowest rates of osteoporosis.
Calcium Doesn’t Protect Bones
There have been studies into the effects of calcium supplementation on the body and there was no significant evidence that calcium helps protect against bone fractures. In fact, it was found that vitamin D has a more positive impact on protecting bones from fracturing.
Calcium and Cancer
Researchers have found that a higher intake of both calcium and dairy products could increase a man’s risk of prostate cancer by 30 to 50%. Dairy consumption also increases the body’s level of insulin-like growth factor-1, a protein that is also a known cancer promoter.
Calcium Doesn’t Need Dairy
Calcium has benefits that dairy doesn’t, so it’s not necessary to consume dairy for its calcium. Calcium supplementation on its own has been found to lower a person’s chance of colon cancer.
Not For Everyone
Most people, on some level, can’t handle dairy. About 75% of the world’s population are not genetically able to digest milk and dairy products properly. This is know as lactose intolerance and it can affect anyone from just mild discomfort to skin rashes and inflammation.
What You Might Not Know
As surprising as these facts might be, they are actually quite well known and recognized. But there is something surprising that only people who consumed dairy frequently and tried to cut it out of their diet know. It is very hard to stop consuming dairy.
It’s almost as if your body has become addicted to it, but that couldn’t be true could it? Apparently, it is. When people try to detox themselves from dairy, they find that their bodies have a physical reaction, a withdrawal.
People have reported that they wake up tired after a good night’s sleep, they are brain foggy, they start to retain water and become bloated. They develop rashes, have constant headaches, and experience anger and anxiety frequently. These aren’t things that happen when you stop eating a fruit or vegetable, so what is the issue?
The Hidden Culprit
The first realization that there was a biochemical explanation that our bodies seemed to crave dairy came from a study in 1981. Scientists at the Wellcome Research Laboratories in Research Triangle Park N.C. found a compound in dairy products that resembled morphine. After conducting more elaborate test, they discovered that it was in fact, morphine.
Through nature’s own creation, the enzymes in that produce opiates are not solely found in poppies, but in the liver of cows as well. Scientists discovered that these opiates hide inside casein, the main protein found in dairy products. As the casein is broken down in our bodies, they release opiate molecules into our system.
When we eat dairy, we expose ourselves to this toxic and addictive chemical. The best thing to do for the health of our bodies and our children is to slowly wean ourselves off of dairy. There are many great substitutes that can be used in its place and all the positives dairy gives us can be found in plant food sources. We need to shake our dairy habit, because like any other drug, dairy is poison to our bodies. Try this milk alternative by SILK.
