12 Things Only Those Who Hate People Will Understand

If you can make a list of your favorite things in this world, the word “people” would not be on there. Yes, you’ll have ice cream, dogs, and vacations. But people? No way. And it’s not because you hate them. There are in fact three people in your life that you enjoy talking to.

You just can’t be bothered to put up with people you don’t know and like because really, what’s the point of trying to talk to people when you already have everything you need in your life? So, if you can relate to this mindset, you can most certainly relate to the following signs that show you’re not the biggest fan of people.

1. Small talks with strangers? Uh, no thanks.

no-small-talk

You’d rather talk to a wall than make conversation with people you have no interest in learning about. It’s a waste of breath to exert that amount of effort for someone you don’t even know. You’d rather just keep to yourself and save the conversations for people you actually like.

2. You have zero tolerance for stupid people

It irks you when someone says or does something that you can’t help but mutter, “is this what humanity has come to?” You also think you lost some of your brain cells from their stupidity and you’re just glad you don’t have to deal with them on a regular basis… oh, wait.

3. You’re not antisocial; you’re just selective of the people you talk to

You can count with one hand the number of people you can afford to have a conversation with. That usually includes your mom, your best friend, and your dog. As for everyone else, you’re just glad the only thing you have to share with them is the air you breathe.

4. If you can text it, expect that’s how people will get a message from you

Why put in the effort to meet people or call them and hear their voice if you can just text it, right? It’s the same thing except you’ll still keep your sanity, and you don’t have to try to sound chirpy or even get ready to go out and “catch up” with them. Minimal contact is always best in your opinion.

5. A conversation with your dog is 10x better than talking to people

Talking to your dog beats any kind of human interaction. Not only are they cuddly and cute but they also can’t talk back to you, which means you don’t have to worry about getting irritated and annoyed with what they’re going to say. It’s pretty much a perfect relationship.

6. Pretending you can’t make it to a social event

When someone invites you out to an event that you already know will require some socializing with people you don’t like, let’s just say you’ve already made plans a week ago or you suddenly caught a cold that won’t let you get out of the house. Because why socialize when you have tv shows and movies you can watch in the comfort of your own home.

7. Being stuck in small spaces with people are the worst

Whether it’d be a small room full of people or a bus whereof all free seats, someone decides to sit next to you. That to you is flat out invasion of privacy. Don’t people realize that your personal bubble exists and it should not be touched, crossed or popped?

8. You’re so brutally honest that it sometimes hurts people’s feelings

Let’s just say being sensitive to people’s feelings isn’t your thing. You like to tell it how it is and not sugar coated your words because what’s the point of doing that just to try and save people from getting hurt? Honesty is as real as it gets and people should be okay to receive your opinions that way especially when they ask for it.

 9. Your kind of social gathering are the ones where you stay home

At home, you have the only thing you’ll ever need, yourself. And you’re perfectly okay with cuddling up with your blanket and your bowl of popcorn to spend your Friday night and the weekend at home in perfect peace. Some people may say you’re missing out. Well, it’s too bad you don’t care about what they say.

10. You hide your real feelings with sarcasm

There’s one thing you can’t do, and that’s faking your reactions. So instead of giving your fakest smile to certain situations and conversations that you don’t find funny or interesting, your automatic response is a sarcastic comment. That’s way better than pretending you actually agree with the things that were just said anyway.

11. You talk with your best friend about how much you hate everyone

You and your best friend have one thing in common for sure and it’s that talking to people are neither of your past times. You definitely enjoy each other’s company but the same can’t be said about other people. In fact, you talk about the things they do that irritate you. It’s a topic that always comes up because it’s something you can mutually agree on.

12. You roll your eyes far too often in a day

You can’t even count the number of times you roll your eyes in a day because of how much you do it. It’s almost like your default facial expression when people say things that you wish you didn’t hear. It’s a bad habit, but you just can’t help it, it’s your way of reacting without having to speak one word.

Conclusion

Let us know if this is you in a nutshell. Share this with your best friend so you can talk about how much you can relate to this. You can also casually share this with people who don’t get you. That way, they’ll know that you don’t hate them, it’s just your general preference to have the least amount of meaningless conversation. No hard feelings.
